Family & Cosmetic Dentistry

Services

Our team provides family-focused and cosmetic dental care with modern techniques in a warm, supportive environment.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of your overall smile or specific concerns regarding the gums, mouth, and teeth. Patients of cosmetic dentistry are often dealing with surface-level concerns such as stained or discolored teeth, broken teeth, or gaps. Common cosmetic dentistry procedures include fillings, veneers, and teeth whitening. Train Dental will work with you to develop a plan to suit your needs.

Family Dental

Family dentists take care of oral health at every stage of a patient life. At Train Dental, we have a delicate and adaptive approach to oral care so that patients of all ages can learn about the importance and ease of maintaining great oral hygiene.

Night Guard

If you clench your jaw or grind your teeth while you sleep, the stress you are putting on your teeth, if left unchecked, will likely cause you fracturing them and that could lead to a whole slew of other problems. A Night Guard relaxes the jaw muscles to lighten the tension and ease friction between top and bottom teeth. They also protect your teeth by putting a cushy barrier between them.

There are many different types of night guards offered on the market, such as soft, dual laminate, and hard. However, we highly suggest that you contact us to schedule a consultation.

Sports Guard / Regular and Custom

Sports guards are designed to protect your teeth from injury during athletic and recreational activity where contact is involved. Sports guards put a barrier between your teeth and your cheeks, tongue, and lips to reduce the chance of injury to these areas, bone damage, and tooth loss.

You may be able to find a generic sports guard locally, however to guarantee the highest level of protection and comfort, we suggest that you get a custom guard. We are happy to speak with you about making one that is perfect for you.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers are one of the best cosmetic solutions to help you achieve the perfect smile you desire. For patients with chipped, permanently stained, or misshapen teeth, veneers may be an excellent option. The process of receiving veneers involves adhering thin porcelain covers on top of natural teeth to give them a more classically attractive look. The benefits include durability, natural appearance, and minimal enamel removal compared to crowns.

Crown and Bridge

A crown is a manufactured tooth made of porcelain or ceramic. They are used when a natural tooth is damaged, weakened, or misshaped. Train Dental will customize the crown to ensure that the texture and colour naturally match your existing teeth. Some patients prefer crowns made of gold alloys or other metals for additional strength.

While a crown is used on individual teeth, a bridge is used to replace multiple missing teeth. In cases where a tooth is too damaged for a crown or there is insufficient bone for an implant, a bridge may be a suitable solution.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canals are not nearly as intimidating as they are often made to appear. A root canal is a procedure to treat infection at the centre of the tooth by removing infected or dead pulp. You may notice symptoms such as tender gums, pain when chewing, or sensitivity to hot and cold. Always speak with your dentist for an accurate diagnosis and solution.

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening involves lightening your teeth to make them whiter and more aesthetically pleasing. While over-the-counter options are available, the safest and most successful way to whiten teeth is with a professional.

Two methods are offered at Train Dental: custom tray whitening and ZOOM power whitening. Results can last from a few months to a few years depending on care and habits.

Invisalign

Invisalign is a great option for patients with mild to moderate misalignment who do not prefer traditional braces. Invisalign can address overbite, crossbite, underbite and more using clear removable trays that gradually move teeth into place.

Tooth Extractions

Tooth extractions may be the best option for patients with excessive tooth decay, crowding or infections. Your dentist will inform you if your extraction is simple or surgical, depending on whether the tooth needing extraction is visible or impacted.

Tooth Fillings

Tooth fillings treat cavities by removing the decayed part of the tooth and filling the area with a durable composite material. This restores original shape and function while relieving discomfort.

Emergency Dental Care

If you are experiencing a dental emergency such as a toothache, chipped fillings or broken dental appliances, contact us right away. If we are not in the office, our automated voice service will direct you on next steps which may involve calling an emergency number.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a safe solution to replacing a tooth or creating a strong foundation for full or partial dentures. The implant itself is a small piece of titanium metal shaped like the root of a tooth. The damaged root is replaced by this implant and an artificial tooth is fitted on top.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea Devices

Snoring is often the result of obstructive sleep apnea, a condition in which the airway becomes obstructed when lying down. If diagnosed with mild or moderate sleep apnea, many patients can be treated with a small durable portable device that eliminates snoring. Call us to learn more.
